History of Fishers Theatre

Fishers Theatre starts back in 2006 when Fishers High School became a school. Under the direction of Mr. Matt Rund, and Mr. Andy Smith, they would work to build a small new department into a booming machine of sometimes 60 students in a show at a time. In 2012 Mr. John Colby joined the Fishers Theater team, he brought new shows such as the children's show and Comedy Sportz to the department. Mr. Rund directed the musicals, Mr. Colby directed the plays, and Mr. Smith did the tech. In 2018 after being a part of Fishers Theatre for 12 years, Mr. Rund left to become an administrator. Mr. Colby took over all the direction of the musical and the play. In 2019 Mr. Colby left to pursue other adventures in public speaking. Ms. Anna Nickell would take over the department in 2019 and 2020 she kept Fishers Theatre alive during the pandemic. She also brought the coffeehouse performances to Fishers Theatre. In 2022 Ms. Nickell left education and Ms. Emma Rund took over. Ms. Rund and Mr. Smith are currently running the Fishers Theatre Program Mr. Smith continues to do tech and Ms. Rund is directing the musical and play.

Mr. Matt Rund (2006-2018)

Mr. Andy Smith (2006-present)
Mr. Jon Colby (2012-2019)
